ABSTRACT


Introduction: Friction In Orthodontics Should Be Controlled During All Stages Of Orthodontic Treatment. As High Friction Cause Prolonged Treatment, To Overcome Such Problem ,we Have To Increase Applied Force During Treatment That May Lead To Root Resorption And Loss Of Anchorage. Although Niti Wires Have Unique Properties Compared With Other Types Of Other Orthodontic Wires, They Have Disadvantages Of Surface Roughness And High Frictional Coefficient.
Objectives: To Investigate The Antibacterial Effect Of ZnO Nanocoating On Mechanical Properties Of NiTi Orthodontic Wires And Antibacterial Activity Of ZnO Coated Wires Against Microorganisms.
